The effect of cast structure on the production of EC redraw rod for magnet wire

$15.00

The grain structure of continuously cast EC aluminum has a great impact on the warm fabrication of 9.5-12mm redraw rod in a Properzi rolling mill. Adequate grain refinement of the structure improves formability as evidenced by improvements in smoothness, mechanical properties and texture and by reduction of seams and surface oxide on the finished rod. These improvements in the surface and bulk properties of the redraw rod result in a superior product for wire drawing and enameling.
