Description
Eccentricity phenomena pose a significant problem in the design of copper telecommunication cables. These phenomena have no effect on some electrical characteristics, but do on others, such as mutual capacitance. Simulation results show that if in the stages of stranding and final testing eccentricity changes from 0 to 15 percent, the mutual capacitance deviation from the average in order will be approximately 1 nF/km and 0.81 nF/km.
