The results of a series of experiments on the effect of salts in formvar alkyl-phenolic coatings of enameled magnet wire are presented. Variations in the levels of ammonium acetate and ammonium sulfate, and the resultant impact on dielectric strengths for both wet and dry wire, are graphed.
