The effect of the steel wiredrawing process on the wire surface layer

$15.00

An increase of total reduction during steel wiredrawing has resulted in significant changes. These include the increase of strength in properties, variations of technological properties and hardening of the wire surface. In this work investigations were performed on structure and properties of conventionally drawn steel wires with chemical composition close to the eutectoidal one. A variation of structure in the surface layer in the region of cementite lamellae was examined.
