The effect of under critical annealing treatments on cold drawn carbon and alloy steels

$15.00

A study carried out to evaluate methods for improving the hardness and physical properties of cold drawn steels is presented. Four grades of steel were pickled, cold-drawn, annealed for one hour, then subjected to tensile and impact tests. Results are presented in graphic and tabular form. It was concluded that this method increased both tensile strength and yield.
