The influence of material and process factors on the drawability of mechanically descaled high carbon steel wire rod

$15.00

The popularity of applications using mechanical descaling, especially as steel tire cord, has been steadily increasing in recent years. One factor limiting its wide-scale acceptance is the relatively low productivity due to the difficulty of mechanically drawing descaled high tensile strength and high carbon steel wire rod. In order to meet the demand for increased drawability, studies have been conducted examing the influence of casting and pre-forming operations.
