The effect of oxygen over the mechanical and physical properties of copper was studied. Tests measured; hot shortness, recrystallization temperature, drawability of copper wire, grain size of the Cu2O and its influence on wire drawability, and the influence of crystallization on wire diameter. Tables and graphs illustrating results are provided.
