The 60th anniversary of our Association should include recognition of Mr. Mordica. Although most members are aware of the ‘Mordica Memorial Lecture’ I sense a lack of awareness of Mr. Mordica’s immense contribution to our organization. As founder and President for the first 7 years, Mr. Mordica presided over the difficult start up of the organization while simultaneously presiding over the start up of rod and wire operations at the Sparrows Point Plant of Bethlehem Steel Corp.
