Various aspects of the loop processing system for handling of wire and rod are described. Use of this system for ferrous wire rod cleaning and coating, aluminum wire rod solution heat treatment, CO 62 1 welding wire processing, controlled cooling of carbon steel wire rods, brass wire annealing, cleaning and coating of hot-rolled copper rod, patenting, electroplating, spheroidization, annealing of stainless steel, and phosphate coating of stainless steel is described.
