Description
Extensive and detailed studies have been performed using commercial ETP coppers that were doped over a wide range of nickel and zinc contents. Effects of these elements upon electrical conductivity, spiral elongation, hardness annealability, tensile properties, and annealing response have been determined for different alloy concentrations, oxygen contents, and thermal mechanical processing variables. The annealing behavior and properties can be rationalized in terms of solute-oxygen interactions, stability of corresponding metal oxides, and grain size variations.
