Description
A profile of the band lateral section after multi-pass flattening of wire has been presented using functions which describe the radius of rounding free surface profile and metal contact width with the roll. The integral coefficient of widening has been calculated according to the equation elaborated by the authors. The dependence-of-limit diagram between a free surface and the projection of metal contact surface with a roll in the process of single- and multi-roll pass wire flattening has been determined as well.
