The thermal embrittlement of stressed polyethylene

$15.00

Tests on thermal embrittlement of stressed polyethylene are described. Test methods and results for high density polyethylene and for several low pressure and high pressure polymers and copolymers are presented. Results indicate that oxidative, environmental and thermal factors cause brittle failure. The impact of these failures on wire are discussed.
