Thermal diffusion analysis of brass coated steel wires

$15.00

On coated wires, where the a brass composition is close to the a – b boundary, two parameters should be known in order to adjust the diffusion process: the a/b ratio and the diffusion rate. These parameters inform us if the b phase comes from the initial Cu-Zn quantities or from the thermodiffusion conditions. Within a few minutes of analysis by X-ray diffraction, the a/b ratio and the diffusion rate can be computed.
