Thermal influences on residual stresses in drawn wire-a finite element analysis

$15.00

Residual stresses in drawn wires have significant impacts on mechanical properties of cords produced from them. The influence of thermal gradients within the wire on residual stresses is analyzed by using results of several finite element simulations. This basic understanding of the creation of residual stresses facilitates optimization of key wiredrawing parameters.
