Use of the Thermopure Process for handling oily wastewater effluents is discussed. Laboratory tests were conducted in Alcoa laboratories on mechanically emulsified coolant from an aluminum rolling mill, coolant from a steel plant reversing mill, solution from a glass plant filter unit, solution from a metal cleaning operation, and chemically emulsified coolant from an aluminum rolling mill. Results of these tests are presented.
