Transducerless control of AC flux vector drives

$15.00

AC Vector controlled drives are making inroads into DC applications such as wiredrawing, stranding and extrusion. New open loop control technology allows motors without expensive encoders to deliver the same torque and speed control as today’s closed loop vector controllers with encoder feedback. This paper compares and contrasts the performance capabilities of each technology and identifies those applications in wire and cable that are good candidates for these cost effective controls.
