Central stranders serve for manufacture of conductors (round, compacted, sector-shaped) within the upper cross section range up to 1000 mm2 . For each wire two centrally arranged bobbins are used, which allow stranding from the filled bobbin and winding of the empty bobbin at the same time. Design and function of the machine and its special applications will be described in the paper.
