The development of the Veetrac wiredrawing machine is reviewed. The use of a Vee groove wheel provides traction; the elimination of wire cooling and slip problems, increased speed, decreased number of dies required, and savings of floor space are achieved. Tests of the machine for drawing steel wire are described.
