Description
This paper describes a versatile online Fast Fourier Transform and Structural Return Loss (FFT/SRL) predictor system and its benefits to telecommunication and coaxial cable manufacturers. A case study is included, showing the effectiveness of this system in improving product quality. Manufacturer considerations, such as early detection of faulty product to reduce scrap and improved diagnostic techniques to improve quality and simplify troubleshooting on a production line, are discussed. Other issues specific to telecommunication and coaxial cable production are addressed.
