A new generation of filled core cable

$15.00

The use of a dry powder cable filler material, consisting of surface treated calcium carbonate and a high molecular weight polymeric resin, is discussed. On contact with water the filler forms an impervious, self sealing block. Evaluations of water blocking capability, transmission characteristics, mechanical stability, compatibility, long term stability, and cable characterization and acceptance testing are presented.
