The Productivity Maximization Study (PMS), a statistical analysis to determine the optimum runspeed under given operating parameters, is demonstrated. Empirical data combined with cost analysis will optimize existing equipment runspeeds, affording maximum profits from this statistical method. These same statistical methods will provide information about problems that inhibit production. A case study is provided by the Southwire Company.
