The methods current being employed at Kalas to achieve world class manufacturing are presented. Kalas’ two-fold focus is: (1) continuous improvement through the development of Kalas’ total employee involvement (TEI) program and process improvement teams and, (2) quality systems (ISO-9002). ISO-9002 as a quality system and not as a continuous improvement program is also discussed.
