Costs associated with existing coolant lubricant systems are listed, and typical arrangement of such systems is reviewed. Costs can be reduced by modernizing existing equipment to yield an improved clarification system. Hydrocyclones can be retrofitted to existing systems; clean solution at all times, elimination of expensive shutdowns, simpler disposal problems, and compliance with OSHA regulations are achieved.
