Application of the continuous extrusion forming process (Conform) for production of copper rod is presented. Differences in the processing of aluminum and copper, and problems involved in following one metal with the other, are considered. The hardware, the wheel, problems generated by heat, process developments, the production of transformer strip, particulate feed, and products produced are discussed.
