Effect of descaler design and scale properties on cleanliness of hot-rolled rods subjected to reverse bending

$15.00

Work done to optimize descaler design and to determine the influence of scale properties on descaling effectiveness is presented. Variations in roll diameter, number of rolls, and wrap angle were investigated. The relative importance of descaler design versus scale properties was evaluated; scale properties were found to be of minimal importance.
