Description

Electron beam processing of insulation and jacket materials has been successfully used in the manufacture of electrical wires and cables for the past 15 years. Several examples of commercially viable products which have been produced using the electron beam process will be described. Additionally the economic, production and product advantages offered for these products through electron beam processing will be detailed. Some products currently made by other methods will be examined for suitability for possible future manufacturing.
