The design and operation of a new rotating beam wire fatigue tester is presented. Some mathematical considerations of fatigue are discussed, and the results of the tests are graphed. A practical means of maintaining a running check on small diameter wires, involving maintaining routine testing and plotting results on control charts, is described.
