In an effort to simplify the complexity surrounding the flammability testing of small wires (lead and hook-up wires) a battery of four basic test procedures is suggested. These are the horizontal, vertical, bundle and heater conductor tests. Each test is described and illustrated, and the advantages of the system are considered.
