Fracture mechanics aspect of delamination occurrence in high-carbon steel wire

$15.00

Experiments were performed to understand delamination mechanism in high-carbon steel wire and particularly the wire-size dependence of delamination from the fracture mechanics viewpoint. Comparative experiments (a large-size wire vs. a small-size wire) suggest the strong likelihood of both proeutectoid ferrite and void formation being associated with delamination occurrence.
