In line cleaning

$15.00

Inline cleaning can provide economic advantages in wire manufacture. The paper reviews the criteria for choice between batch and in line cleaning. It then explains the basics of in line cleaning under two headings: 1) basic cleaning processes and 2) treatment time. The integration of these two factors into an in line system are illustrated by examples of the ingenious solutions that wire technologists have developed over the last 30 years. The problems of disposal of effluents and how synergism between processes can help in this are also discussed.
