Manufacture of all aluminium alloy conductors

$15.00

All aluminium alloy overhead conductors (AAAC) have been in use for around 60 years, using alloys based on the aluminium-magnesium- silicon system. Over this period their use has become more widespread, partly due to improvements in the properties of the alloys used, but mainly because of the recognition of the advantages of all alloy conductors over steel cored aluminium conductors (ACSR). The benefits of AAAC to the user include increased current rating, lower operating costs.
