This paper will introduce an operational concept for a new generation of stranding machines: high-speed torsion stranding cages meant to surpass conventional rigid stranders. It will also discuss new back-twist-free tubular stranders for OPGW laying-up and F.O. armoring with the same quality as drum-twisters, but three times faster.
