A precursor process which utilizes an organic fiber as the forming agent in a fine diameter non-wiredrawing process is described. The application of the technique to tungsten wire is described in detail along with the physical properties of multiple filament tungsten wire and the cost of the process. Uses of the finished tungsten product are given.
