Production optimization in a wire and cable facility

$15.00

A computer monitoring system, developed for Southwire Co. and configured for a wire and cable application, designed by Systems Research Laboratories is outlined. The goals of the project were to apply an existing proprietary hardware and software system, test it for accuracy and reliability, and determine if productivity was optimized. Results are provided for monitored equipment consisting of three nonmetallic sheathed (NM) cable jacketing lines for a two month period.
