The report will discuss improvements at the ASARCO Amarillo copper refinery focusing on new quality control equipment and improved quality oriented processing for the production of copper rod. Beginning at the copper refinery tankhouse and proceeding through melting, casting, rolling, packaging and shipping, each aspect of the enhanced quality control system will be reviewed as it relates to wiredrawing and/or insulating.
