This paper will discuss the savings that can be realized by being able to remove defective cable jackets without damage to the interior core and thus be in a position to re-jacket the product. In so doing the manufacturer will be able to avoid wasting the materials and labor used to produce the conductor. Secondary applications include upgrade of scrap for reclamation and removal of curing jackets.
