Relaxation resistance of nickel-alloy springs

$15.00

Tests designed to determine load loss (relaxation) in nickel-alloy coil springs held at constant height (compressed to simulate a measured load) and temperature are described. The spring materials tested were Monel, K Monel, Z nickel, and Inconel; temperatures of 300-700~F were used. The temperature range over which these alloys can be used, where load loss is a criterion, has been determined.
