Screw design improvements for unfilled cross link polyethylene

$15.00

Over the last 10 years there has been little improvement in screw performance for the processing of crosslinkable polyethylenes. A study was carried out on popular cable materials to determine whether or not existing screw designs are indeed the ultimate performers. Results of performance of popular materials are compared to typical conventional mixing screws with respect to output rate extrusion stability melt temperature level, power usage and melt quality.
