The effect of annealed vs non-annealed boron treated steel on cold headers

$15.00

The object of this paper is to compare the actual cold-forming properties- and the effect of the material on the cold former -of boron grade 10B21 steel in a total of four conditions: two conditions described as previously drawn wire, and two conditions described as inline drawn wire. A methodology is developed correlating cold-forming tonnage and metal deformation. Costs of hot rolled wire vs. cold rolled wire, and non-annealed vs. annealed wire are commented upon.
