This paper covers the latest developments of HICON/ H2(r)bell annealer technology. In addition to reporting on the considerable advantages for heat treating steel wire, a comparison is made with alternative heat treatment facilities regarding operating costs, economy and yield. A multitude of technical and technological advantages provided by HICON/ H2® bell annealers are briefly discussed.
