In part one of a series a description is presented of investigations carried out to study the manufacture of wire from sintered copper. Two kinds of copper powder (electrodeposited and reduced) were reduced, sintered, annealed, cold drawn, and drawn through a draw plate. Malleability data for the various samples are presented.
